| Makedonya Kulesi |
| Description: |
Behind the Uc Şerefeli Mosque stands the last tower of Edirne’s city walls. It´s named Makedonya Kulesi (“Macedonian Tower”), a round and robust tower. It’s possible to enter the tower itself, but impossible to climb upstairs. It’s located in a back alley, and there is the flag on the top. The tower also served as a clock tower until 1953, when the upper part of the tower was demolished because of the danger of collapse.
