Antalya - A Turkish Climbing Delight
East of the Greek island of Kalymnos on the southern coast of Turkey near the ancient coastal resort of Antalya is a relatively new rock climbing area sitting in the shadow of the Taurus Mountains. The main area can be found at Geyikbaırı and other smaller ones along the sea front at Akyarlar. There are some others e.g. Olympos a hundred kilometers away. Bouldering is possible at the sea spots, in Geyikbaırı or in the alpine bouldering area of Feslekan Yaila. These untouched mountainous regions with ocean views, the nice Turkish climbing scene, combined with the Turkish culture and their hospitality creates an incredibly unique atmosphere.
