Dear friends ;

For who wonders about alternative music in Turkiye, i want to introduce you with "Bulutsuzluk Özlemi"( can be translated as Yearning of Cloudlessness) which first have made alternative pop-rock (recently senfonic) music with Turkish lyrics in Türkiye. Their debut album was published in 1986. Up to now they published 7 albums. They have added into their music for hundred years accumulation of anatolian tunes beside contemporary rock sound. In their lyrics, there are too many arguments such as sociological, psychological, economical and political.

PAMFİLYA'DA *
IN PAMFILIA

Palmiye ve selviler arasındaydım
i was in between palm trees and cypreses

Akdeniz -eski bir evin penceresinde-
The Mediterranean - at the window of an old house -

çivit mavisiydi
was like indigo blue

ve müthiş dağlar görüyordum
and i was beholding marvellous mountains

çok fırtınalıydı gece
was so gusty, the night.

yumuşacık elleri vardi
there were hands such velvety

sımsıcak nefesleri vardı
there were breathings such cosy

ben bu yüzden buralardaydım
thats why i was here around

Pamfilya'daydım
i was in Pamfilia

sedir ağacı
Cedar

buram buram kokuyordu
was smelling excessively

biraz serin, eski bir evin kireç badanalı,
a bit chilly, of an old limewashed house ,

odasındaydım
i was in a room of it

dışarda guguk kuşu susmuyordu
outside, the cuckoo bird was not stop singing.
