I saw a post here on tc the other day about visas for going to the UK, but I don't remember where..
Generally I think it's hard, and you definitely have to have your paperwork ready before applying. When they ask for a finger give them an arm, if you catch my drift... give them plenty of information, even if you think it's not necessary. It's also a good idea to make a good invitation, explaining why you want him to come to the UK.

It took us four months to bring my hubby to Denmark and it was a real struggle and expensive as well. The next time it wasn't so hard, so I think they just want to make sure he won't run away or something once in the UK. But that's Schengen visa.

edit: I found it..it was just below

Yes I know, I also didn't believe it. Now I don't know anything about the UK specifically, but I'll give you this advice: Don't take it lightly and again, go over the top with the application.

Yes it's a very big leap. I bet he hasn't been outside of Turkey before (not to this side anyway)? Just make sure you don't rush with the application take your time and get it right the first time. I wish I knew somebody in the UK who has done it before, but I don't. Well, I do but they weren't very serious about it and they got rejected. But I can say from personal experience that when you work for it, it's possible. Good luck with it
