Luda´nın durumu, gerçekten çok acıklıydı. Onun gibi güzel, akıllı ve eğitimli bir kadın için şu anda yaşadığı durumun ne kadar sarsıcı olduğunu tahmin edebiliyordum. Elimi omzuna koyarak: "-Luda, istersen anlatmayabilirsin." dedim. Aslında o ana kadar dinlediklerim, bende de Şahid´in ani ayrılışı ile Luda´nın evinde yaşanılanlar arasında bir ilgi olabileceği düşüncesini güçlendirmeye başlamıştı. Bu yüzden, hikayenin sonunu öğrenmem gerektiğini biliyordum. Ama genç kadının şu anda çok sıkıntılı bir ruh hali içinde olduğu da açıktı. Luda, başını kaldırdı ve gözlerini kuruladıktan sonra kararlı bir tavırla: "-Hayır, Fatih Bey...Her şeyi anlatmak istiyorum. Yoksa, asla kendimi rahat hissedemeyeceğimi biliyorum." dedi.
