SANA BAKMAK
Looking At You

her şey yapılabilir
bir beyaz kağıtla
uçak örneğin uçurtma mesela
altına konulabilir
bir ayağı ötekinden kısa olduğu için
sallanan bir masanın
veya şiir yazılabilir
süresi ötekilerden kısa
bir ömür üzerine.

everything can be done
with a white sheet
a plane for instance, a kite
able to be put under
a shaken table
because of having one leg shorter than the other
or a poem can be written
whichs time is shorter than the others
about a life time

bir beyaz kağıda
her şey yazılabilir
senin dışında
güzelliğine benzetme bulmak zor
sen iyisi mi sana benzemeye çalışan
her şeyden
bir gülden bir ilk bir sonbahardan sor
belki tabiattadır çaresi
senin bir çiçeğe bu kadar benzemenin
ve benim
bilinci nasırlı bir bahçıvan çaresizliğim
anlarım bitkiden filan
ama anlatamam
toprağın güneşle konuşmasını
sana çok benzeyen bir çiçek yoluyla

on a white sheet
everything can be written
except you
hard to find a description to your beauty
you would better ask from
everything tries to resemble you
from a rose, from a spring, autumn
maybe the cure is nature
of your resembling this much to a flower
and mine
gardeners despair its coucious corned
i know well about plants some
though i cannot explain
the speach of earth with sun
with a flower path which resembles you alot

sen bana ışık ver yeter
bende filiz çok
köklerim içimde gizlidir
gelen giden açan soran bere budak yok *
bir şiir istersin
“içinde benzetmeler olan”
kusura bakma sevgilim
heybemde sana benzeyecek kadar
güzel bir şey yok

you just give me a light, its enough
i have various buds
my roots are kept inside of me
there is noone comes and goes, opens and asks, no bruise no knot
you ask for a poem
'which has similes inside'
i am sorry my beloved
in my saddlebag i dont have such thing
as much beautiful as you

uzun bir yoldan gelen
tedariksiz katıksız bir yolcuyum
yaralı yarasız sevdalardan geçtim
koynumda bir beyaz kağıt boşluğu
her şeyi anlattım
olan olmayan acıtan sancıtan
bilsem ki sana varmak içindi
bütün mola sancıları
bütün stabilize arkadaşlıklar
daha hızlı koşardım
severadım gelirdim
gözlerinin mercan kahverengiliğine

comes from a long road
unprepared, without food a passenger, i am
passed through loves with or without scars
emptiness of a white sheet in my chest
i told everything
that exists or doesnot, hurts, aches
if i ever knew it was for reaching you
that all breaks' aches
that all stabilized friendships
i would run faster
i would come with loving-steps
to your eyes corally brown

sana bakmak
suya bakmaktır
sana bakmak
bir mucizeyi anlamaktır

looking at you
is looking at water
looking at you
is understanding a miracle

sağa sola bakmadan yürüdüğüm yollar tanıktır
aşk sorgusunda şahanem
yalnız kelepçeler sanıktır
ne yazsam olmuyor
çünkü bilenler hatırlar
hem yapılmış hem yapma çiçek satanlar
bahçıvanlar değil tüccarlardır
sen öyle göz
sen öyle toprak ve güneş ortaklığı
sen teninde cennet kayganlığı iken
sana şiir yazmak ahmaklıktır

the roads i walked through without looking neither right nor left are witness
in the interrogation of love my splendid
only the handcuffs are suspect
whatever i write, useless
because the ones know, remember
both made and fake flower sellers
are not gardeners, but merchants
when you are like eye,
when you were the product of earth and sun
when you have the silkness of heaven on your skin
to write a poem to you is insolent

bir tek söz kalır
dişlerimin arasından
ben sana gülüm derim
gülün ömrü uzamaya başlar

only one word remains
between my teeth
and i call you my rose
then the life of rose starts to get longer

verdiğim bütün sözler
sende kalsın isterim
ben sana gülüm derim
gül sana benzediği için ölümsüz
yazdığım bütün şiirler
sana başlayan bir kitap için önsöz

all the words i gave to you
stay with you, i would desire
i call you my rose
rose is immortal as it resembles to you
all the poems i wrote
are prefaces of a book starts to you

sana bakmak
bir beyaz kağıda bakmaktır
her şey olmaya hazır
sana bakmak
suya bakmaktır
gördüğün suretten utanmak
sana bakmak
bütün rastlantıları reddedip
bir mucizeyi anlamaktır
sana bakmak
allah’a inanmaktır

looking at you
is looking at to a white sheet
that is ready to be anything
looking at you
is looking at to water
being ashamed from the face you see
looking at you
is understanding the miracle
with denying all the chances
looking at you
is believing in God
