Hi Bliss,

I believe Russian, Polish and Yugoslavian is similar to the Russian language. Dobra vecchia, Dobra youtra and dober dan . Yugoslav wasn't too difficult a language as I remember a few years ago. Also a Yugoslav was speaking in Polish as it was a similar language to them.

Please correct me if I am right or not.

well, i'm not Bliss but i can answer this one yes, Polish, Russian and Yugoslavian are similar as they descended from the same group of languages - Slavonic languages. however, altough some words are similar indeed, it might be difficult for a Polish speaker to understand Russian and the other way around. moreover, i experienced how embarrassing it can sometimes be to assume that a word in another language is similar to a word in yours (the so-called "false friends"). well, sure speaking one langue from a given family of languages faciliates learning another one, but it is not as easy as it would seem.
