hi to everyone

please has anyone got some advice for me.

my girlfriend came to the uk in feb 2006....she was granted a 2 year au pairs visa that runs out in feb 2008...

i know this can not be extended, we do plan to marry in the future but we dont want this to be a reason to apply for a spouse/marrage visa.

she has been back to turkey twice in this time the last time was this month and i went with her to meet her family .
kartal wow no tourists!
do we apply for a visitors or a sponsor visa as soon as she returns to turkey in feb and what would the chances of them granting her a visa.....do we go to istanbul or cyprus to apply for a visa . we have heard that cyprus (kibris)i think are more relaxed and can i go with her when she applies for a visa .....

we have 7 months to research and worry our minds about all of this.
please all advice will be welcome
thanks in advance
xxx

at the end of her 2 year au pair visa u can extend it for 1 more year... thats what my GF did and she didnt need to go back to turkey for it... i roughly know about how uk visa works for turkey... if u plan to marry her within the 6 month time period when she go back u can apply for a fiancee visa... there is another visa which u can try to apply for which is un married partner... u need to show that u two have been living together for 2 year like a marriage... joint account/bills whatever... each time u apply for a visa its going to cost £500 for a settlement visa... which is all the above visa mention.. if u do not get granted the visa u wont get ur money back so think about what u really want... u can always appeal...

if u do get the fiancee visa.. and get married within the time period u can change over to a married visa which will grant her a 2 year stay at the end of 2 years she can apply for indefinant leave... dont forget if she gets married she need to inform the turkish embassy that she is married because there is a fine if she doesnt do it within a week ( fine of around £10 )

hope the information is helpfull... i have been researching for sometime now... feel free to PM me
