I'd like to present you Cem Adrian who appeared not long ago. He's a remarkable singer with his style of singing and music in the turkish music industry. He was discovered by the famous pianist Fazıl Say. In some parts he sings opera-like and that's one of the things that makes him different. His live performances are nice as well.

Biography:

'Born on the November 30th 1980 in Edirne. Cem Adrian -the 2nd. child of a Yugoslavian origin family- had started his musical studies during secondary school terms and also realized his first recordings. He started his carrier of radio publishing at age of 18 and continued about 6 years. At the same period of time he studied theatre and photography and recorded about 250 own songs at the studios of the radio he used to work. In the year 2003, he performed as the singer and dancer of the ethnic music band 'Mystica' which he founded with Serkan and Efkan Erdal, in Istanbul. On autumn 2004, he started his education as a 'special student' at Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, by the invitation of Fazil Say. On February, 2005 he released his first album 'Ben Bu Sarkiyi Sana Yazdim'.This album includes the songs which Adrian had recorded by himself between 1997-2003 in Edirne and the live recordings of his first academic performance with Fazil Say. This 'demo-album' had achieved success by sales of 16.000 copies and despite being in the category of 'alternative music' it took place at the upper lines of the pop-music lists. The concert series which started by the first 'Babylon' concert in the year 2005 in Istanbul, continued by the premier of Hamburg Music Season with Fazil Say and by Bremen Jazz Festival, with Fazil Say and Burhan Ocal.

In 2006, he started working on his 2nd. album produced by himself and book 'Ask Bu Gece Sehri Terk Etti' to be published on November 2006. '

Yağmur

Korkmuyorum artık senden gece
korkmuyorum ben hiç, karanlık...
üzerime gel istersen
sar beni, ben kaçıp gitmem...

korkmuyorum artık senden yalnızlık
korkmuyorum hiç korkmuyorum
yüreğime vur istersen
kalmadı hiç kaçıp gitmem...

sokaklarda yanımda dolaşan yağmur
gecelerini başucumda duran yağmur
avucumda ellerin yerine yağmur
vur yüzüme...
vur yüzüme...

saçlarımda nefesin yerine yağmur
dudağımda dudağın yerine yağmur
gökyüzünden çaresizliğimi yağmur
vur yüzüme hadi!
vur yüzüme!

daha hızlı yağmur...
yağ yağmur...
ağlar gibi yağmur vur yüzüme,
durma vur yüzüme!
yağmur...

çok üzgünüm, çok üzgünüm,
çok üzgün yağmur!
kaybedecek neyim kaldı,
ne kaldı yağmur!!
vur yüzüme hadi vur yüzüme!!

And a sad song:

Sonbahar

düştü elleri içimdeki boşluğa,
su titredi, yaprak oynadı dalında.
kesti elimi yüzündeki kirpiği,
kalbimde bir çiçek açtı.. yine...

bir rüya olmalı gördüğüm,
gördüğüm bir rüya olmalı,
belki de belki de hiç uyandırmamalı...
sonbahar sonbahar olmalı,
sebebi sebebi sonbahar,
sonbahar sonbahar..
korkmuyorum hiç !

başla hadi!
sar karanlığına beni,
al en derinine hadi!
sar bikere sar bikere!

başla hadi!
vur yalnızlığınla beni,
yerden yere yerden yere hadi!
vur bikere vur bikere!

başla! yıka yağmurlarında beni,
ıslat yine ıslat yine hadi ağlat!
kaybet kaldırımlarında beni,
yürüt yine üşÃ¼t yine hadi!

korkmuyorum!
korkmuyorum!
