First of all,i want to say that; this is very simple. You can do it easly..

"Pierce with fork, nuke (microwave) on high for 3-4 minutes, to soften. Cut in half and scoop out the seeds. Place cut side up, add butter, pecans, and BROWN SUGAR TWIN and nuke until done."

Didn't understand what the word TWIN adds to the sentence, so translation ignoring this is:

Çatalla deldir. Yüksek ısıda 3-4 dakkika için mikrodalgalı fırına koy. İkiye kes ve çekirdekler at. Tekrar mikrodalgalı fırına koyup (kesilmiş tarafı üstte), üzerine tereyağı, pekan fıstığı ve esmer şeker koy ve hazır olana kadar pişir.

PS: I'm nosey. What is this the recipe for?

OK Can you explain to an English person living in Istanbul what acorn squash is?

Acorn to me is the small nut that grows on an oak tree, only eaten by squirrels. And squash is a fruit concentrate that you dilute and drink.

Oh it sounds so good! I haven't microwaved though. I like it baked. Maybe I will give it a go!

Ok acorn squash can be described as having the same texture skin as a pumpkin but is very dark green in colour on the outside.

It is about a fourth the size smaller than a pumpkin maybe closer to the size of an average cantalope. It has light yellow coloured similar type flesh inside it.

I only knew it to be baked, as the other person had mentioned, but i think this way would work also. The strength of your microwave will determine the cooking time. It is done when the flesh has become soft.

It softens greatly after cooking to kind of a mashed potatoe consistancy.

Oh and you don't eat the skin....I hope this helps.

Sorry it took so long to reply but I had not come on to the site in a while.
