Hello,
This question may not belong here but I really would like some advice on a Turkish persons move to the U.K. what would it involve and where is the best place to start my search for information. I am very happy with my situation I am engaged to Nesrin and we are both very happy we both have talked about the situation we are in with us both living in different countries and we decided we must make a decision soon, we both have found this easier said than done and what we want to do is weigh up the choices we have. Nes said she would not rule out a move to the U.K. but we both do not know the first move on this apart from looking at the British consulate website for advice. I realise that many members here would be looking in the opposite direction with the moving to Turkey but I would like to hear from anyone who has a Turkish partner and would like them to move and work in the U.K.
Thanks

Start from the consulate. Ask their advice first, and the requirements (a huge list I think). And then find a good lawyer in the UK. It is always the best.
In the end, you have to make the 'officer' believe that it is a genuine thing (as if they are experts in love). There will be a grilling interrogation in Istanbul.
I think, they wont accept she coming to the UK as a tourist and get married there.
