Buyukada and Camlica are wonderful places to visit. Old memories pop up! Biking on the island of Buyukada can be great fun too.

Remember the slogans of the two clubs?
Galatasaray: Die for you!
Fenerbahce : Kill for you!

Thanks for the futbol debate
But I really need some names of pensions or cheap hotels. I kissed a fener fan, a besiktas fan, and a galatasary fan (!) where does that put me in this debate
Thanks for the detail of the area..I have done the Taksim bit, and wanted to try a different area

Did you check out Trudy's list and my lengthy comment that developed around a boarding house in Fenerbahce?

aden
It is around 60 Euros.
I had to stay there 4 months ago and it was nice.
I visited 6-7 hotels on that street. Price was almost the same with +-10 euros.
I think you could find cheeper hotels at the back streets around 35-40 euros. I think somebody from that area can find them out for you.
They are all connected, they all know other hotels around. If you phone aden hotel for example and ask for cheaper hotel tel numbers, they will help you.

Kenthaber is not very well updated with websites, I also noticed that earlier. But they are great with a list. So maybe you can use Google with the hotel names?
I found this one for you at: http://www7.hrs.com/changeLanguage.do;jsessionid=BB2D3E0890635227C92BF3917DBE824F?clientId=bmxfX0hSUw--&cid=7-4
Hotel Dila - Mühürdar Fuat Bey Sk No 5, 81300 Istanbul - KADIKÖY HRS price TK 85,00 (p.p. double room, breakfast included)
They have more hotel offers on the Asian side, just fill in your dates and scroll down for hotels with 'Asian'. It's a long list!

Thank you everyone for your help.
I wonder why there are so few pensions / hotels on this side , as it is quite near to the airport which charter flights are pushing foward now !
