The only real purpose of that film was to prepare the American public opinion for a possible confrontation with Turkia.
At a time when it became obvious that strategic interests of the two countries did not exactly coincide and some confrontation seemed possible, that film was made intentionally to stop American public from questioning why neocons should now get into trouble with a lifelong ally of USA, as if they had not created enough problems already.
The idea was to show the US public that Turks were in fact very devious buggers and not really friends of America, at all.
The making of this film is part of a bigger scenario, and the uproar about Zane and Busey taking part in the film is total crap. They were probably paid by the US Government or their Evangelican supporters, anyway.. (1) Who in Turkia can afford the two of them together, in a single Turkish film? (2) Which brave Hollywood actor can play an organ stealing Jewish doctor and hope for another role in his lifetime, from a Jewish dominated Hollywood, unless he was somehow officially assigned to the task?
