The whole issue is quite annoying.

Couple of years ago I came across some guys who worked on these websites:
writetothem.com (might be useful)
theyworkforyou.com

Thankyou for your help

Hello everyone,
I am very unhappy that my fiancée’s sister and nephew have not heard about their visa to visit the U.K. to witness our wedding, we have waited now nearly three weeks. They both filled in an online application with my help because all of the application form has to be in the English language.

We are able to track the application online and after nearly three weeks the 'status' is awaiting at mission, which basically means they have not done a thing about it. This is totally unacceptable and I am going to make a complaint, they only have one day left to be accepted or otherwise they cannot come to our wedding. I understood that they have to make a decision and either warrant a refusal or grant the visitor's visa's. They have done neither and I am sure this is going to go further. I will go straight to my M.P. but furthermore I will go higher than just my local M.P. I think that the television should be informed of this practice as we have all tried to contact the consulate by person, several phone calls and countless e-mails all to no avail they simply to not reply.

This process really is so hard going, we as the U.K. let in so many illegal immigrants and then we complain about it later when the influx has totally got out of control. I want my M.P. to explain to my fiancée’s sister and nephew why they had to miss their relatives wedding, I am so angry that this will go as far as I can take it.

Rich, I am so sorry for the two of you. Like some others have said, they sound like the US. As you know, Yilmaz and I had to file a waiver and they told us not to call or e-mail, they would get in touch with us when they had the answer. Well that could be as long as 12 months or more!! So, I do know your frustration. But surely they can see that Nesrin's family would be coming for a special occasion and would then return!!! Hopefully your M.P. will be of help!! I will keep you both in my prayers.

Worse case scenario, you would just have to do it all over again in Turkey.

By the way, what is the date of your wedding?

Good Luck and Best wishes for a speedy outcome in the positive!!!

Thanks for your reply, yes yourself and Yilmaz have had many things to encounter also in your lives to be together, yes we could get married again in Turkey that sounds a lovely idea. The wedding is on the 1st February and you would be very welcome to come I know you possibly cannot but I invite you anyway

An update on my fiancee's sister and nephews visa applications is that they have somehow mixed the visa photos up they have put the male on the female and vice versa as Nesrin would say they are 'salik'

Pls dont take the official view lightly...

The island is already too crowded....a couple of more Turks may just trip it...

Where exactly is your wedding supposed to take place? You may need to prove that there is no risk of tripping, by sound engineering calculations...

Let me know, if you need further help !

Thank you so much Rich for the invitation. I would be there if I could. I will have to be with you both in spirit on February 1st!!! Sending you both warm wishes and lots of love!!

P.S. I read your other post, so if they just mixed up the pictures there is hope still for them getting the visa?!!
