Quoting peace train:

people like Femme...

There are OTHER people like her?

Quoting peace train:

There are those here who go mental at the mere mention of a blonde joke yet happily participate in tasteless mockery of any opressed eastern woman. You are deluded if you think you are mocking only the men. Every time you mock the men/regimes you despise you also mock any woman who is feeling opressed and trapped by those men and those regimes. ...

This is directed to me. First - I do NOT go mental at the mention of a blonde joke!!! Are you unable to tell when people are having fun?

Second... this is a discussion forum, not a United Nations conference. Please stop taking everything so seriously!!

Quoting peace train:

Of course we also have members who take pride in arguing for arguments sake (by their own admission they do this). I'm sure there are many women out there who would like the freedom to do this. Freedom to speak shouldn't be abused by such practice, it should be used sincerely and responsibly....

Again... this is directed to me and AGAIN I would point out that this is a discussion forum. If I want to argue for arguement's sake, so what???

Where is Jack this morning? lol lol lol

Exactly, I just couldn't agree more. If you think that constant mockery and insults work to change people's way of life then you're being naive. Aggression provokes aggression. Spitting at people around isn't surely going to change them. The only thing it will do is to ensure them that women who have too many rights turn into sour bitchy hags.

Of course, this is a discussion board and everybody may feel free to express themselves in whatever manner they choose. If you want to be aggressive, you have every right to do it, but think...does it really work? How many people do you think you've changed? Does adonis's way convince you? No? So, imagine, yours is exactly like his.

Personally I see nothing wrong with it, arguing for the sake of arguments is nothing bad. Aenigma, I don't think PT meant to insult you with this paragraph, or, perhaps only you Brits spot an insult where the rest cannot...

You have such a complex about yourself DEAR. Femme's name is there because she posted. I purposely made generalisations about members elsewhere in my thread because they referred to more than one person. Veiled references to certain members may be your style but don't assume it's common practice for every member.

Nothing you have said in your response quite hits the mark.

Jack is your invention, not mine. I post in the manner I see fit for the purpose and I'm not driven by what may annoy, amuse or ingratiate.

Where do you get the idea I am agressive? I actually managed to talk Adonis into realising we were in agreement yesterday

Sweetie..please...where on earth did I write that I considered Aenigma aggressive? I meant Femme and thought it was clear. Your posts are moderate, I did read your yesterday's posts to adonis and was impressed in how cool you keep. Aferin sana! Ok, next time if I make it personal to you, I solemnly promise I shall do it with your name in capitals ok? Otherwise it is either general or not directed to you. Deal?

It is all a conspiracy - hadi you should PM Ros and Alameda and share the news .........

Thanks for your balanced respose Daydreamer (that's a veiled reference for AEnigma).

No, spotting insults does not come easy to all of us Brits, but some, like AEnigma, do work hard at it.

btw I think 'insult' was a tad strong in the context of my post don't you think.
