Quoting duda:

Being from Serbia means being of any nationality. I can be a Serb, Croat, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Muslim Bosnian, Romanian, Wallachian, Turk, Egyptian, Albanian or of any other of 26 nationalities.

I don't understand. You speak the same language as Serbs, Croats and Bosnian and yet you consider yourself as different nations. Why not Muslim Serbs instead of Bosnian Muslims for example? And why was that hate from the Serbs towards Bosnian Muslims during the civil war of 1990s?

Duda,
I really like your ideas towards racism.
But will you accept that there is/was very strong racist nationalisms in Serbia which resulted in worst massacres since WWII in Europe?
Because we all watched and read what happened in bosnia, sarajevo.
We all know the names Radovan Karadzic, Ratko mladic and Arkan etc.
Dont you think they were part of the problem what happened there?

Maybe you don't know, but Yugoslavia was the only country in the world where "Moslem" was not only a religious description, but one of the legal nationalities. Bosnian Moslems (or Bošnjaks) insist on that name and I will always respect it, as well as I respect all the people who live in this country.

War in Bosnia was a three-sided war, with the equal number of victims on all the sides. People in Bosnia live normally now. And many Moslem refugees from Bosnia came here during the war. So we can't speak of "hatred" but of a very wrong Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian politics in early 90's. But it has nothing with Kosovo and I don't see the point. Except if your point is the power of media who evidently satanized Serbs.

Karadzic and Mladic were not leaders from Serbia, they were supported by our ex-regime and that's a big difference. Arkan's and similar paramilitary formations were (luckily!) not too numerous. If you try to find any shots from that period, you will see that citizens of Serbia had antiwar and antigovernmental protests all the time.

About massacres: media say around 5000 Serbs were killed in Sarajevo only. What should we do? Count our dead to see who was worse? And who would "my" dead be? I could mention some Croatian and Bošnjak war leaders' names as well. But let's leave living to the courts, and the dead rest in peace.

You mentioned IIWW. May I mention that 600.000 Serbs and almost 200.000 people of other nations were killed in only one lager organized by a certain Yugoslavian nation?

Mehmed Jusufspahić, Belgrade mufti:

The mufti od Serbia, Muhamed Jusufspahić, today criminated, in the name of Islamic Community of Serbia [IZS], any act of political violence that can deepen the gap and dissacordance between nations of the words, where belongs one-sided declaration of independence of Kosovo and Metohija.

On the press conference in Bayrakli Cami in Belgrade, which is secured by police, Jusufspahić, speaking in the name of Moslems "whose motherland is Serbia", pointed out that this act of one-sided declaration will put many Moslem countries "into temptation".

Pointing out that Moslems in Serbia want to live in peace with their Orthodox and any other Christian neighbours, Jusufspahić appealed at all the Moslems from the regia to abstain of any comment.

Hamdija Jusufspahić, the former Belgrade mufti:

The Mufti of the Islamic Community of Serbia, Hamdija effendi Jusufspahic, has assessed that the position of Muslims in Serbia has 'stepped up' while the position of non-Albanians in Kosovo, including Muslims, is still bad. 'The nationalistic movement in Kosovo and Albania is like any other nationalistic movement and recognizes only itself. Proof for this are Romanis, Ashkalis, Turks, Boshniaks and Goranis who have been displaced from Kosovo,' said Jusufspahic. He added that, from the beginning of the war in Kosovo, he hasn't gone there, although 'he has friends and very decent people down there.' 'But it doesn't matter to blind nationalists who is who what color, if they are not the same nation. Since Islam, much has been forgotten in Kosovo during the communist rule. Their (Albanian) wish is to be linked with Albania from those times,' said Jusufspahic.

Duda I hope you are not serious. I understand your feelings exactly, but this thread has been VERY interesting to read, and is it not better to remain and bring some balance to those nationalists?
