Ok .. probably a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway. I am a british citizen with permanent resident status in the usa. I will be travelling to turkey on a british passport .. do I have to do anything special to get the visitors visa when I land at Istanbul march 9th? or will they send me home?

Don't worry Leelu you'll be fine . They wont listen to your accent since you don't need to say anything. Just give your passport and 10 euros (or I don't know how much in pounds) and they will give u stamp. I'm sure they won't notice that you're either from Britain or the US.

leelu when you come to Istanbul airport dont make the mistake of going to passport control ,just before that there are a couple of booths where you get your visa stamp, its 10 pounds ,make sure you have a ten pound note or the same amount in euros ,if you give 20 pound they wont give you change, many people stand at the passport booth for ages then get to the front and are told to go back and get their visa. visa booth first! ok
