Just a question...why do people ask to be deleted? If people don't want to be on here anymore why not just stop visiting the site? For me, it seems that when someone actually asks their name to be deleted, it's so they can come back under a different name.

People don't have to be deleted to have multiple identities here so that would not really seem to be a reason to ask to be deleted.

Are you serious you don't know why people want to be deleted?  I can think of twenty reasons just off the top of my head!

Well, it is always sad seeing good members leave this site. And I totally ignore the reason(s) why she is leaving this time and the reasons why she left before.But I remember her posting this in one of the threads:

There are many people who have simply left and not waited for their account to be deleted. I do wonder why you still come back if you want to leave.
If you do not want to come here at the moment, why not just stay away.
Maybe her case is a little different and she definitely doesnt want come back ever again:-S
Or maybe she got tired of her current nickname and wants to come back with something like AEnigma IV

Hahaha are PMs to admin not private anymore?!
Its no problem if you want to keep my account open or delete it - either way is fine. I just wont be around much anymore so thought it was easier to delete it!

I would like to think Admin would not publicize a request for deletion, unless that member had been consulted first. Otherwise members might not feel they can trust Admin.

Geeeeeez, you guys are cracking me up! What's teh big freaking deal in "publicizing" a request for deletion! It's something that would be known to everyone anyway!

It is the fact that you have publicised something that I for one would regard as a private matter. Meaning PM's to Admin or anyone else, are just that, private.
For me, this means if you have a problem that you want to let Admin know about, how do we know that it will remain private? Can we be reassured?
If someone wants to publicise that THEY want to be deleted that is one thing, but for someone else to do it - unless of course this is a publicity stunt just to guage someones popularity!

You're right - there's no guarantee that your pm's to admin will be private. I can at any time post them in the forums to raise mine and your popularity!
