Killing terrorist in a war in my opinion is justified, for many reasons, naming one,if you didnt stop him,he will kill many innocent people
So,actually if you have turned the other cheek to a terrorist is like you have placed a death penalty upon many innocent people in the society.
And you also cant put people who defending themselves there fore they are killing others, with people who are killing others''innocent people'' to take their homes and lands in same basket.
And also you cant ask someone to turn the other cheeck when someone is attacking him to kill him,he would be fighting back and maybe kill too,so it will be an eye for an eye.
So i guess, you cant actually turn the other cheek all the times, but also you shouldnt use eye for an eye all the times !

Israeli army 'crimes' unpunished

Israel insists dozens of roadblock checkpoints are needed for security
An Israeli human rights group says the overwhelming majority of Israeli troops suspected of criminal offences against Palestinians are never indicted.
The small number of investigations and even fewer indictments showed Israel's army was ignoring its duty to protect Palestinian civilians, Yesh Din says.

It said soldiers felt they had immunity from investigation and prosecution, which inevitably led to more offences.

An Israeli foreign ministry spokesman said no-one was above the law.

The spokesman, Mark Regev, added that any complaints would be taken seriously by the Israeli legal authorities.

Yesh Din's report said offences included "illegal shooting causing the death and injury of civilians, violence and abuse, intentional damage to property, looting, taking bribes".

Between 2000 and 2007, it says, 239 investigations into the killing and wounding of non-combatant Palestinian civilians by Israeli forces had led to just 16 convictions.

Occupying power

"The low number of investigations opened and the minute number of indictments served reveal the [Israeli Defence Force's] de facto derogation of its duty to protect the Palestinian population against offences committed by soldiers," said Yesh Din legal adviser Michael Sfard.

A recent survey commissioned by the Israeli army said one-in-four soldiers who had served at checkpoints in the West Bank had witnessed or taken part in abuse of Palestinians.

Soldiers quoted anonymously admitted humiliating Palestinians, delaying them without good reason and accepting bribes.

Under international law, the Israeli army is considered an occupying power the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with a duty to protect the civilian population.

Israel captured the territories - home to about four million Palestinians - during the 1967 war.

It pulled troops out of Gaza in 2005 but still keeps a tight grip on its borders and air space.

The most disgusting thing an individual can do is to call a whole nation (ANY nation) "disgusting". Nationalism is disgusting. Racism is disgusting. And I am ashamed to breath the same air as people who were able to write something like this.

My regards to all the other people, those who have been raised up in the spirit of tolerance and admiration for other nations. Hope to see you at some better place.

I wouldn't call a nation disgusting, any nation. It's the people who make up a nation and I can see how this can be offensive towards someone.

I was careful to say nation as opposed to people. There are Israeli's who agree that the "nation's" genocide of the native Palestinian people is disgusting. Over a half century of illegal and immoral behavior does make it's government disgusting...

The same can be said of the Serbian government after Tito. I like the serbian people, but its government policy was immoral...

And what about the Armenian Genocide, does this classify the Turkish government in the same ranks as Israel.. Let me guess what genocide?

Oh Tea....
Can't we stay on one topic without always coming back to insult the Turks in some way?

If you would like to start another thread to compare the two, I will be happy to explain. The millions of deaths in eastern turkey was a result of World War I and the Armenians alliance with Russia. I feel genuine sorrow for the Armenains who suffered.

I don't see how this was getting off the topic..I just posed a question based on your explanation. so you assume I am insulting Turks...but it's ok to insult Israelis here? Obviously, someone took offense to your comment.
