Merhaba arkadaslar!!

Lynda and I will be going to Kurtlar Vadisi-Iraq film on Wednesday evening. It is English subtitled. The film made a great coverage on US media and even US army warned it's soldiers not be near to the cinemas that are showing the film and not to discuss the film with anyone that they do not know. So I assume that you would not miss this sensational movie!! This movie is the biggest budget Turkish movie so far.

Wednesday is a discount day and that is why we picked that day. Film will start at 21:15. We can discuss the movie afterwards. You may take notes of the things that you want to discuss.

Venue: Woodgreen cineplex (in shopping center)

Please let me know!!

this movie is the one in the cinema sector which shows the real side of abu garep jail and organ mafia in iraq.
one of my american friend told me that this was not american politics and soldiers shown in the film.and i told him that we were not like the turks shown in "midnight express"

nice movie, hope you all like it

Nice sensible post goner! Exactly. No one should believe that what they see on a film is the truth or real life. Come to think of it you should not always believe what you see in documentaries either. Quite often things that are presented as 'fact' are simply twisted and edited in such as way as to show what the producers want you to see.

like many thing we dont like being criticized by others even if its true or not....this film has few features ...as far as i got first to make money by using national feelings...second to show wads happening in ıraq...third its made same technic used in holywood( showing others like a dragon ...its one of the most watched film in turkiye...but i wana add again...its really telling wad kind of games playing in ıraq...maybe most of us dont wana believe dis...but if u write ''ıraq war pics''on google and look for it u will see the truth easily...dis way better than watching news on tv...bcos they are lying der....not a great film but also not so bad....

Hit Turkish movie ignites heated debate

Sunday, February 26, 2006
FULYA ÖZERKAN
ANKARA - Turkish Daily News

Since the day it was first screened, the hit Turkish movie “Valley of the Wolves -- Iraq” has caused a political firestorm, especially in Germany, a country that takes a principled stand on free speech. “I have difficulty in understanding reactions in Germany to ‘Valley of the Wolves -- Iraq',” Professor Faruk Şen, head of the German-based Center for Turkish Studies (TAM), told the Turkish Daily News. “Many American ‘Rambo'-type films have been shown in Germany. They were much worse and bloodier than this Turkish movie, but they were never discussed as much.”

Apparently responding to a German politician's attempts to censor the movie on grounds that it was anti-American and anti-Semitic, Şen said: “This contradicts freedom of expression, freedom of the press and the German Constitution because moviegoers will decide whether a movie is good or bad. The state should not intervene.”

The movie, produced with a $10 million budget and Turkey's most expensive domestic film ever, has also been shown in Britain, Egypt, Russia, Syria and the United States.
