I heard that engineering is considered to be the best profession to enter in Turkey - but it seems a bit unfair to lump everybody else together as 'The Others' as if they were second-class citizens!

If you are really good at something, and doing that professionally, you have the best job in the world.
I know a man selling kokorec in the streets. He earns enough money to offer full time employment to two university professors.

Physicians go through the longest and the most extensive education. If you ask them they would say, medicine is a class apart.

Most engineers I know work as sales people. Sales people do earn good money if they make good sales. They look down on R&D engineers who are generally seen as resource hogs. If that is the perspective, we must conclude there are two kinds of people Sales people and all the rest.

i am an electronic engineer , but i guess my parents who didnt enter school made me such a cleaver and creative engineer so i cant say others about them.
and according to this the above classification is invalid.

there are no others ,there is creative, hardworking, professional person who does his/her job with love and with such a perfection and the others may be the lazy ones who cant finish anything.

Reminds me of an English joke.

We have a directory called "Yellow Pages" which lists businesses and services.

You can look up Hairdressers, Roof tilers, Libraries etc etc.

If you look up "Boring"

It says: Boring - See Civil Engineers

Civil engineer is an engineer that will design bridges, large construction projects etc such as the Euro tunnel project in the UK, or the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul, roads and infrastructure, canals, dams, large building etc etc.

Civil Engineering

Btw I am a domestic engineer in my spare time! In other words I do the cooking lol

That is rather a strange question? Bit like syaing secretaries are dumb!

No, I dont agree at all. This is like saying you have a special club and no one is allowed in and puts engineers onto a pedistal.

Clever and brilliant profession without a doubt but not one above all others.

Never interviewed a top class hired gun. Maybe he/she is more satisfied with his/her job than you think.
