I happened to find Ece Dorsay on the internet and wanted to share:
http://www.myspace.com/edorsay

"Ece Dorsay is a female singer/songwriter from Turkey, Istanbul. Her debut album "Kum Saati" has been published in the year 2002 although it was recorded in the year 2001. Arif Mardin has said that her lyrics were very poetic and her singing was original. She has performed in many festivals like H2000 in the year 2002, sharing the main stage with major bands like Muse. She plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, sings and writes her own music as well as her own lyrics. She is inspired by women singers who have an attitude against racism, homophobia, war, women abuse; like Ani Difranco, Tracy Chapman, Alanis Morissette, Skin, Gail Ann Dorsey, Tanita Tikaram, Suzanne Vega."

Since my turkish is less than lousy I would be happy if someone found (or made) a translation to english to her songs!
