This has been the argument against democracy for every democratic country in the world at one point.

The alternative is to follow a monarchy or fascist government to make your decisions for you because they are better qualified to make political decisions.

hehehe....I have known some idiots who THINK this way...but at least have the good sense to keep their mouths shut! It doesn't matter how democratic a country becomes...you will always have some people who feel like they are better than everyone else! One sheep herder alone may not be significant, however, in a country like Turkey...there are many more sheep herders than elite airheads like this bimbo (thank God)!! What an idiot!

But, this very idea is also the reason the US utilizes the electoral college system and not the popular vote. Founding Fathers were worried that rural residents would become the majority populous and unite under a single movement, undermining the wealth in the cities. Additionally, the super delegates that are selecting the democratic Presidential nominee are free to choose who they want and are not bound to vote the way that their district may have voted.
So, its possible, that if Turkey were set up in a similar fashion, where areas in eastern Turkey received less "voting power", Erdogan may never have been elected in the first place.

I am not her advocate but she couldn't expressed herself well. There was some miscommunication. The message was garbled during the tranmission.
I don't think she meant she should cast more votes than those who she critised. She wanted to make a point that those people sold their votes for some "kurubaklagiller and kömür vs" (wheat, rice, bulgur, check-pea and coal) which is unfortunately true and their number is huge. She meant she didn't sell her vote like them (hence the question "is my vote the same as theirs?"). AK party bought a lot of votes that way. Look at the reactions by the AK party. They got very angry. Why did they take her this seriously?
