Quoting MrX67: thats really easy to understand worries of western people about the mistakes of some stupid people who don't aware of real meaning of İslam and islamic culture.. |
This maybe true, but it doesn't make any more light of the situation. That's the problem with the radical islamist. But let's not forget it is a reflection on their religion.
It's just like these preists who have sex with children, it is STILL a reflection on the catholic faith. Does it mean that's what catholics believe in? No, but people relate one thing to another. It's just the way it is.
What should have been done by the news network is to denounce such behavior. I wonder what will happen to the father as a recourse for his actions.

Community service as punishment? (Sorry, I have no confidence in the legal system of S.A.)

In a just society shouldn't the father go to prison?

Of course he should go to prison. Many, many years please. I was (trying to be) sarcastic, you didn't notice?

Ok... Yes... it should be a life sentence, or something close to it.

This man is a deranged killer and unfortunately there are some people who feel he is justified in his behavior (for whatever reason). Until this behavior is seen as murder and not honor, this will continue.

I'm sure if it weren't a girl but a boy, the father would not do the same but only some scorning or maybe nothing at all... It is as if the thing they call "honour" were just for women! And maybe the so called father himself is doing even more than chatting! Still whatever he does, he keeps his honour cos he is a MAN!! How nice!!!!
This might be the case for this father but in general these kind of men think this way...
