I love John Lennon and this song too. While I'm here I remember a recent post by either Vineyards or Keith, stating they believed poverty to be a threat to peace initiatives . . . or words to that effect, sorry if I haven't reproduced the idea correctly. Well, it reminded me of one of my favourite songs. I make no apology for the fact that I've posted this before . The song is around 30 years old but is sung here, by the writer, at the presentation of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize to Muhammad Yunus. Here too the philosophy is that poverty must be addressed if peace is to be brought about.

I think this song is a little more optimistic in tone than Lennon's, although I love his song too. It evokes hope, which is an extremely important facet of life.

Of all our differences, I think overall, this a a very morally concious group we have at TC.
