Quoting Lapinkulta:

You are not a woman so it's not your business to speak about women's rights dear.

So . . . according to you: Islam is none of your business, men are none of your business and Turkish issues are none of your business. These are only a few of the topics that are none of your business as you are not a Muslim, a man or Turkish...

did u understand?if u didnt,I can tell u these with another language..

sweet kisses ,şekerim

Now this was funny. Trapped by her own words!

Am I the only one who spotted sarcasm in Cat's "you're not a woman so you can't discuss it" thing?

Sorry Cat if you meant it seriously and not as a laugh at the natio club of Turks.

I dont think that turkish women havent got any problem...I wanna tell u that u have same problem as well..then while u criticise turkey cruelly,u should look at your own country firstly...

I do look at my own country as well and criticize them cruelly (they don't swear at me for that though). What I find is that women's rights in Turkey are still in a worse condition.

I thought 'Cat being sarcastic' too..

But however, I must say that the entire thread seemed very sarcastic to me.
Because it is like, a person trawling the net and finding rape incident news in turkey and claiming that 'Eureka Eureka!!! here we go, you are all rapists'.
And also as teas mentioned, the news itself is nothing to do with women's right at all in generic terms.
Those cults, in my view, are just bunch of lunatics..

If we were having an intelligent conversation, my previous words would have been sarcastic, but with Lapin... who had just said that there's no problems with women's situation in his country, who found some unrelated article and then made some funny conclusions, and who cannot understand what I meant and now compares his ignorance about gender inequality to my criticism of open statements and actions of many Muslims... well, with Lapin there's pretty much little hope to get anywhere on this topic. Maybe he's just pretending that he doesn't get it... I don't know. Maybe he feels so offended when his country is criticized and cannot accept it... :-S

Here is what you said earlier my friend:

Quoting Lapinkulta:

Lapin, when you say that I'm hiding something about my country (poland), please be specific about it, because I have no idea what you're talking about.

Just for your information, since you keep on pushing the ball to "my country", here is a list of 177 countries ranked by the index of gender equality. Poland is #37 and Turkey is #84 (US is #12).

2007/2008 Report of Gender-related development index by country

(GDI = gender-related development index. This index measures achievement in the same basic capabilities as the HDI does, but takes note of inequality in achievement between women and men. The methodology used imposes a penalty for inequality, such that the GDI falls when the achievement levels of both women and men in a country go down or when the disparity between their achievements increases. The greater the gender disparity in basic capabilities, the lower a country's GDI compared with its HDI. The GDI is simply the HDI discounted, or adjusted downwards, for gender inequality.)
