I used to love watching all the old films on Yesilcam and have tried to find them on the web but I can't remember the titles in Turkish. I had my own names for them .....Stone Baby ( a child was stolen by a rich family) The Chauffeur(a handsome but poor guy loses his love to a nasty rich guy.Poor guy becomes famous singer, girl ends up killed by a car) Any ideas where I can watch/get hold of them......even the titles would be a help lol

having the names makes it easier to look for them.

Thanks for this link Sherlock. I've just had a quick look and I think I'm going to be able to at least find the names from here. I'm amazed just how many films were made though.I wonder why they continually repeated about 15, when there are so many!

Aytmatov...

I liked the ones with a moral at the end of the tale (most of them with zeynep(ayesha)lol)and the slapstick comedy of little Adile Nasit.

Would you recommend the author you quoted as suitable reading for a Turkish learner?

Aytmatov writes in Russian usually and her novels are translated into Turkish. But the translations are great enough He is a fascinating author for me!! I recommend his books to intermediate and upper level Turkish learners.
