Quoting lady in red:

She thought for a moment and said 'Well, you are either European or Canadian'. Presumably she thinks that Europe is a country made up of the states of Germany, France, Austria, Italy, England etc. etc.!

I don't think this means that she thought that Europe is a country..

Well maybe she just had no idea that there are different accents in Europe - and thinks there is just a 'European accent'!

well... you can think of it this way but... Europeans all speak such good English that she must have assumed that not just British speak English in Europe

Really? I'd say most people in Europe tend to sound more American. That's probably because of Hollywood and music. It's really difficult to meet a person speaking British English. For example, my students would never drop their Rs. A cah? And what is that?

This girl was a contestant on 'American Idol' a couple of years ago. She was rather well known for her lack of intelligence.
I think it is partly an act, although for the life of me I cannot comprehend why any one thinks playing the 'dumb-blonde' is cute!

What I loved about that show was the expression on that little boy's face - he apparently couldn't believe his ears lol

Is France a country?

Well, I believe like that such as Europeans in Europe who are you know, having a language and well such as like they all speak English in a way such as British English and American English you know they need education.
