Erdoğan repeats call for three-child families

" Erdoğan said developed countries were doing everything they could to increase their population. I am just making a personal recommendation to my people. There may be those who don't agree. I have four children. I wish I had five or six. My recommendation has a scientific basis. However, others don't talk that way. If they want the elderly to constitute the majority of the population in the future then that's their business, he said."

However, Demirel (ex president)says that :
1.5 million earns less than 1$, 13,5 million less than 2$ in Turkey.
5% economic growth creates jobs to 500.000 people only.
He insists, population growth should be around 1% only.
One of them is wrong..
I wonder which one?

Then you face the problem of developed countries who tackle immigration problems. With a population of 70.5 million and currently 7% elderly over 65, I don't think Turkey is going to have a problem any time soon.

Sounds like he needs to be more concerned with growing the current economy, instead of encouraging families to have more kids.

I wonder how women will ever be seen as more than just baby making machines. Three kids would be difficult for a woman who wants a career.

I personally favor the idea of copulating as often as possible. In fact, we could even try to revive the ancient fertility rites of Mesopotamia and have mass orgies in the fields at certain times of the year to promote fertility. Polyandry & polygamy could be re-instated to promote a successful population increase.

We should just be like rabbits.

We could even take it to the next step by implementing, along the same lines as the military service obligation for males, a "reproductivity obligation" for females. After the age 18, if a female citizen is not studying, she should immediately start her reproductive community service by producing future baby citizens for the benefit of her country. She should produce & reproduce until she becomes barren. The more the merrier.

Yeah right. Who asked Erdogan in the first place?

I think there are plenty of rabbits in Turkey already.
