To all of my fellow Americans...I hope you have a safe & great holiday. Be careful with those fireworks...

Bye the way for those who don't know why this is a holiday for the United States.

Independence Day

Did you start to celebrate it after the movie of Speilberg?

4th of July is a huge celebration in my family. We get up early and go the the parade, then everyone goes to my parents home for a barbeque and some fun in the sun(usually swimming and playing volleyball). In the evening we cut up a giant watermelon and go watch the fireworks on the lake. Since my father and brothers all served in the military (and actually most of my male decendants) it is a very special day to remember how lucky we are to be free and the sacrifices made to ensure our rights and freedom.

So, to my fellow Americans....Happy 232nd Birthday!!!

Here is a link to information about the Declaration of Independance..if you are interested.

I always celebrate 4th July - it is a good day in history when we finally got rid of those pesky bed amerikens!
