Does anyone know?
Christians eat pork (disgusting). They worship 3 different Gods, they pray to idols.
Crusaders were killers.
They can have sex everywhere and with everyone.

I have often wondered when it was decided and by whom, why it became acceptable to eat pork and shellfish for Christians.

From what I know Christians were never forbidden pork or anything else. |
Thats not true. Several references to this in the Old Testament and in the times of Jesus (Isa) the practice was still forbidden. So at some point, a man not necessarily of God, changed this long time practice for all Christians.

You must have never had a BLT before. Didn't you know, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit all three of them loved BLT's. Especially after having an orgy with all of their disciples. You can always count on that bacon when you have the munchies.

True many Christians may have been Pagans but actually, Christians at the time of Christ practiced Judism. Modern day Christians believe in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Not sure what they teach about Christianity in China but your facts are not necessarily correct ZZ.

I think it was when Paul of Tarsus went to preach to the gentiles. It was easier to convert people by not making them observe dietary laws and be circumcised for the males.
Paul of Tarsus
The biggest change in Christianity happened when Roman Emporor Constantine adopted Christianity as the state relgiion. Shortly after that the
First Council of Nicaea
was called to formalize just exactly what was Christianity. At that time the big debate was between the Trinitarians and Arianism
'Constantine in convoking and presiding over the council
signaled a measure of imperial control over the church.'[3] A precedent was set for subsequent general councils to create creeds and canons.'

The belief that it is ok to eat pork actually came from Jesus himself. I think (but I am not sure because its been more than a few decades since bible school) that in the Gospel of St. John that Jesus said something to the effect....why would you abstain from pork and observe all your other religious laws (like ritual ablution) and still be full of sin? (I am paraphrasing)...anyway, it is a Christian belief that God does not judge you by the contents of your stomach, or the cleanliness of your hands/feet, ect....but by the contents of your soul.

So actually, this is one of my biggest theological issues as a Christian. God layed down these laws, but they were changed by man. I don't know where, but I think there are probably Christians that still practice this.
