The Royal Military Police are investigating a new allegation against British troops in Iraq after a 14-year-old Iraqi detained in 2003 with a group of looters claimed he was sexually abused.

The teenager, named only as Hassan, has made a full statement in which he alleged he was forced to indulge in oral sex with a fellow detainee while British soldiers watched.

I heard about that on the news today. HORRIBLE!!!! I hope that poor boy is able to get over the atrocities committed against him. He will need help.

What is happening to humanity? I'm so sorry for this.

maybe tens of thousands... These are only the tip of the iceberg. We will never know how many Iraqis were killed tortured and raped as long as America and Europe are superpowers.

Those soldiers should be judged and sentenced for their crimes, if the accusation is true, they should never leave jail! It is horrible what instincts in a human being war provokes. And war is no justification for acting worse than animals!

I hope these men are punished hard for their crimes. It is truly revolting. I am very happy also that it is in the press. There is such much abuse going on all over the world, in every country, by all different kinds of people, the more it is unearthed the better. I feel upset that these few soilders who carry out these atrocities, "represent" in the eyes of people in those places, the humanity of British people !

Much abuse is hidden from our eyes by so many walks of life. The abuse from soilders, and the abuse of some Afgan fathers in selling their small daughters (aged 9 some of them) to be married off to older men.

All of it is wrong and these people need help.

Yeah you are so right. Because USA and Europe are EVIL and I am sure there is no rape or torture or child abuse in the east..... (that we are allowed to hear about )...

The civilian death count in Iraq is approaching 100,000.

So shouldn`t we talk about the crime going on in Iraq because rape torture and child abuse exist everywhere? Get over it.
