Quoting zhang ziyi: I think that´s absolutely OK. It is a part of business.
You have a product you sell it.
If I was assigned a task to sell a washing powder to cows, I would walk around cows and try to convince them, although I would know I would fail.
The next thing I would do is to send a report to my manager that cows decided not to use our service for the moment.
It´s just a business. |
Hahaha, and this is exactly why capitalism is hideous. MORALITY SIMPLY DOESN´T EXIST FOR THEM. It is all about profit, at any cost, human lives have absolutely no meaning other then as consumers.

Quoting Cacık: This is hideous and as you say Cat, another reason to hate the industry - I couldn´t agree more. We live in a fallen world where sex, violence and degredation are the top three most valuable selling points ! What a shame |

My business is to offer you, your business is to reject or accept. The morality differs from a group to a group, from culture to culture. It covers everything. It is a too big issue to waste time and energy on.
Don´t we call it a freedom of choice?
Why can´t we offer such products to Iraqi women? Are they different from the rest of the world? Don´t they have a choice?
All of us are consumers, want it or not. |
You are mixing freedom of choice with loose morality.
And I am sure, had your husband or your gf got killed by the iraqies and if you were sent a dildo, you would still be talking about the beauty of the offer, the freedom of the joice and how fittingly convinient the present was.
I have no doubt you as a consumer, would not hesitate to consume that conviniently fitting tool.

That is completely misguided. Businesses don´t offer us "free" choices. They have lots of power and unlimited freedom to manipulate people in very powerful ways, especially when they have no ethical and social responsibility.
