Diet plasters in Ramazan?

A very short (and incomplete) article in one of the Dutch newspapers say that (according to press agency Anadolu) many Turkish people will use diet plasters during Ramazan to overcome the hungry feeling. What is true of this? Do many people use them? You too?

Over the mouth?

I don´t see the use of them, fasting is not a very hard thing to do as I think the body soon becomes accustomed to it.  I suppose no water in very hot countries may be more of a discomfort.  And if one does find the going difficult then the thought of those who never know where their next meal is coming from , is very sobering.

You haven´t missed anything.  Ramazan begins 1st September.  You may find this site useful for future reference.  You´ll have to scroll to find 2008.
