Hi evereybody/anybody!

Just wondered if there are rules regrding the nature of the posts on this forum?

Ofcourse I understand that bad language and degrading, violating or racial opinions are inapropriate, but if the message is of PRIVATE nature, is this something that conflicts with forum regulations? As I have noticed almost ALL posts and requests for transaltion both from T to E and from E to T are of PRIVATE nature!!!!

I got a hard reation on my last post and really do not understand why???? What did I do wrong? Sence I don´t know the content of what I asked to have translated I can ofcourse not know if what was written in turkish was offensive... Plese help me understand so that I won´t make the same isstake again and make more people upset. This was never my intention....however I think I am in the right of asking for help regardless of who has written what I need to get translated, and regardless of what my reasons are for needing help to understand what the turkish text says.

Hoping to get some adequate reactions. (And please pardon any spelling errors in this message.)

Thank you and take care!

Peace,

/C.A.

What you posted was probably offensive and should be deleted. Perhaps send one of the translators a private message asking what it means. This happened to me last week.. what I posted was extremely vulgar and I had no clue. Haha. Of course we all post personal stuff, but its the vulgar or R rated stuff that should not be posted... and now that you know that what you posted is not acceptable, just modify that post and delete it.. perhaps replace it asking for a translator to help you with something private.. and then write private messages to the translator.

Best of luck!

But thaqt was not what afel said...the comment was just that it was a private conversation and that it was UNETHICAL to translate it!!!!

If it would have been vulgar I think I should have been told that it was...

Or am I freebasing again? I just got very upset that I was judge when I really do not think the messages aare vulgar...

I had a quick look at your post and it doesn´t look offensive to me although I can´t translate it exactly for you.  I think that afer over-reacted a bit - he is a new member and probably doesn´t realise the type of translation that is often done on this site (and some people do ask for some EXTREMELY personal translations!). I am sure someone will translate it for you soon.

BTW - there have also been a few requests for translations of phone texts jealous girls have copied from their b/fs phones!!  - and they have been translated!

Sounds harsh maybe, but as long as your translations are indeed not offensive, racist or vulgair I wouldn´t pay much attention to comments about ´it is too private´. If it really is, you will get a message / warning from one of the mods. And about personal stuff... we are used here to quite some stories!

Hopefully for you someone will translate if after all.

I agree with you LIR. I saw afel´s reaction and thought it rather strange and like you I couldn´t see anything obviously vulgar, though I couldn´t translate it either. The post has been there since this morning so I would have thought if that were the case it would have been removed by now.
