MARTILAR Kİ

Günlerdir körköstebek nefsimle öyle hırlı
Ve öylesine harlı ki
esrik nefesim
Bir kibrit tutsam parlayacak.
Bir sarnıç gemisi diyecekler alev almış
Boğazın iki yakasından

Oysa bir gaz tenekesiyle bir şişe mavi
Gelişi güzel mi güzel bir ocak
Suların ortasında sevgili öfkemle benim
Yanacak bahar erişinceye değin
Soğuktan morarmış kanatlarını
ısıtsın diye martılar

Martılar ki sokak çocuklarıdır denizin

Seagulls

my drunk breath has been
So quarrelling and  so obnoxious for days
If someone struck a match
It would burst into flames
People from both sides of bosphorus
Will say an oil tanker is burning

But in fact, a bottle of blue, with a tin of oil
Will be burning with my lovely fury
On a beautiful ordinary cooker
In the middle of the sea, till the spring arrives.
So that the seagulls can warm up their wings
Which have gone purple from the cold.

Because, the seagulls are the street urchins of the sea.

my try
