Even though this is translated I just dont get it, my boyfriend sent me this last week the night he broke up with me and i really just dont get it lol anybody help me out???? i obviously can understand english but i dont get the jist of the song is it a sad song?????

Gidemem
I Can´t Go

Bazen daha fazladýr her þey
Sometimes everything is too much to take

Bir eþikten atlar insan
It goes beyond one´s threshold

Yüzüne bakmak istemez yaþamýn
You don´t want to face the life

O kadar azalmýþtýr anlam
It seems so meaningless

O zaman hemen git radyoyu aç bir þarký tut
At such moments, just go and turn on radio and listen to a requested song

Ya da bir kitap oku, mutlaka iyi geliyor
Or read a book, it definitely makes you feel good

Ya da balkona çýk baðýr, baðýrabildiðin kadar
Or go to the balcony shout as much as you can

Zehir dýþarý akmadan yürek yýkanmýyor
Without throwing out the poison, heart won´t be washed

Ama fazla da üzülme, hayat bitiyor bir gün
But don´t make yourself too sad, life is ending one day

Ayrýlýktan kaçýlmýyor
One can´t flee from separation

Hem çok zor hem de çok kýsa bir macera ömür
Life is both too difficult and too short adventure

Ömür imtihanla geçiyor
Life is passing by the examination

Ben bu yüzden hiç kimseden gidemem gitmem
That´s why I can´t leave anyone, I don´t go

Unutamam acý tatlý ne varsa hazinemdir
I can´t forget bitter and sweet, no matter what, it´s my treasury

Acýnýn insana kattýðý deðeri bilirim küsemem
I know that the pain adds to one´s value, that´s why I can´t be angry

Acýdan geçmeyen þarkýlar biraz eksiktir
Those songs that don´t pass through the pains are a little deficient

Ben bu yüzden hiç kimseden gidemem gitmem
That´s why I can´t leave anyone, I don´t go

Unutamam acý tatlý ne varsa hazinemdir
I can´t forget bitter and sweet, no matter what, it´s my treasury

Acýnýn insana kattýðý deðeri bilirim küsemem
Pain adds to one´s value, I know it, that´s why I can´t be angry

Acýdan geçmeyen þarkýlar biraz eksiktir
Those songs that don´t pass through the pains are a little deficient

Bir þiirden, bir sözden
From a poem, from an expression

Bir melodiden, bir filmden
From a melody, from a film

Geçirip güzelleþtirmeden can dayanmýyor
The soul can´t stand without making the beauty through

Yýldýzlarýn o ýþýklý fýrçasý azýcýk deðmeden
Without giving a little value to the lighted brush of stars

Bu þahane hüzün tablosu tamamlanmýyor
This marvelous sad painting can´t be completed

Just sounds like typical Turkish dramatic meloncholy to me with a few suicidal thoughts thrown in for good effect

I am guessing that he sent this song to soften the blow... {#lang_emotions_confused} Vague enough to take any meaning...

It´s a very touching song of Sezen Aksu.

In the song it gives advice on what to do when you face a separation.

The absolute most beautiful Turkish song I´ve ever heard. I wanted the translation for

this long ago.....I didn´t get any help then.....Didn´t know anyone.

This song was so much for me last year.....

I am so glad to have the translation now.....

I love this song. Sezen Aksu goes rock (sort of ). The lyrics tell what one should do when faced with loneliness or seperation, and that you should understand that difficult things in life make your harder and appreciating life better.
