Good news: Night rates off the meter to compete with illegal taxis

The night rate for taxis will be abolished in Ýstanbul, where 19,000 taxi drivers work legally, to help taxi drivers to compete with illegally operating taxis.

Sounds good. But it says Ankara and Ýzmir have abolished nightrate for the same reason. I didnt know about it, all I know is I was rather surprised when we took a cab after a night out. Now I see why
