I am just wondering if this will reduce the chronic traffic congestion in Istanbul.

The completion of the submersion of tubes under the Bosporus, part of a project to connect both sides of Ýstanbul through an underground railroad line, has been lauded by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan, calling the Marmaray project, first planned in 1860 by Ottoman authorities, the realization of a 148-year-old dream.

After Marmaray starts service, it will take just 37 minutes to travel from Bakýrköy to Bostancý.
