however i dont understand why mltm said about humbleness. what does humbleness have to do with being free or liberated?

one doesnt exclude the other.

It depends on your take on the word "humble". It can be associated with servitude, but also can mean not being boastful

 i like the second meaning

serving others from time to time is fine, but not on a daily basis that others take granted without giving a least thought to it.

I agree cynicmysitc´s post did go over...but the original post in this thread was a provacative and sexist post. What if it were reversed? It´s insulting to men...actually, it´s insulting to women too. What goes around comes around. I mean, really....look at these. I don´t find them funny at all.

I agree. I hate sexist jokes.  However, I think you will agree that, while we still live in such a male dominated world, its a tad more acceptable

Well 4,10 and 15 are certainly true of my husband!  - I thought it was quite funny and in lots of threads on this post men have given as good as they have got.  But cynics post was aimed to annoy on the back of his earlier posts in other threads - thats my opinion anyway

I agree with alameda on this.

If this kind of jokes will not be tolerated and will be classified as sexist, then it should apply to jokes about both genders, or we need to modify the rules to "sexism against women". Otherwise, the rules itself will be sexist.

come on. its just alameda had to defend her male tc friends. im 100% sure she considers men superior to women.

she will always protect men. it is coded in her mentality along with her religion.
