I don´t think that is a nice source for learning "Turkey" or "Turkish culture". It can be only the TV part of the Turkey which is an imitation of Western world only.

perhaps not..but it is a good source for entertainment in the aspect that you can listen to the dialogue in turkish and pick up the language  

 

i think for most people, when learning a new language, if you don´t have the resources to "hear" it, it is more difficult to learn.  i spent the last two years in greece watching many shows...even scooby-doo cartoons to get the language down faster
