As this forum has grown and been pretty liberal, there are problems. I think it would be good is we members would remember there are many more here than ever post messages.They read and form opinions. Then, there are many who posted, but felt attacked and decided the enviornment is too hostile, so they left. Really, does anybody likes to be told they are stupid, backward or uncivilized?

I read about Free Speech a lot, but people in reality, there are limits to Free Speech. One is not allowed to slander or threaten others in most civilized societies. Another unique aspect of this forum is the fact that we deal with intercultural communications. That being, there are different societal sensitivities that should be considered IF one wants to communicate.

Of course, there are some that find this a convenient place to put up their bully pulpit or see their ideas posted. I really don´t think many want to hurt others on purpose, but they do, and they have no idea of how deep that hurt can be.

Whew....sounds GREAT!!! I know, from having been an admin at another, much larger place. It was a big job and took a lot of time and effort. People who have not done this really have no idea how much work it is. This forum really needs at least a half a dozen moderators to keep things organized.

are you denying that there are uncivilized countries whre even very basic human rights are abused every hour. but i truly believe you really really dont give a single second of your attention, but dedicate hours and hours for supporting oppressing traditions and customs and religions. you dont have a respect for an individual human being, but you do respect barbaric laws.
