We all know that one of the most powerful chemical compounds found in both coffee and tea is caffeine. Has caffeine become an important part of your daily life? Did you know that a consumption of coffee that ranges between four and seven cups a day can provoke problems such as anxiety, headaches and stress, not to mention many others?

No matter your answer, read the words below and think some more about your own addiction to caffeine.

Caffeine is actually an organic nitrogenous compound from the alkaloid group. Found in many plants, a deadly dose of caffeine would be 10 grams. Contrary to what you might expect, excessive consumption of caffeine will cause not hyper-stimulation, but instead a slowdown in the nervous system, and even fatigue.

A peaceful, non-controversial topic, isn´t it?

And to answer the question in the title: Yes, I am.

Oh me too - at least 6 cups a day.  But I can drink it really late at night and it never keeps me awake.

Shall we start a TC-online-detox-clinic? Two ´patients´ are already here. Or is that asking for trouble?

Ouh good topic!

I love coffee so much that I limit it to evenings mostly and drink herb tea during the day, otherwise I would be completely addicted and dehydrated!  When I DO drink coffee I make sure it is only the best!  To drink a cup of instant or cheap coffee is a waste of good caffeine

You are not completely addicted? Then you are not allowed in the TC-detox!

If I promise to drink more, can I join your TCD gang?
