Perdeler-The Curtains

Bir yanýmda dopdolu yaþanmýþ sayfalar

At one side, pages (of life) which have been lived to the full
Bir yanýmda üst üste okunmamýþ kitaplar

At one side unread books in pile
Dünüm yarýným hep burda küçücük odamda

My yesterday and my tomorrow are all here in my tiny room
Susadým yoruldum ama aklým hayatta

I am thirsty and tired, but my mind is alive
Bir yanda yorgun düþmüþ yaþlanmýþ insanlar

At one side, weary old people
Bir yanýmda ümitle aþkla uyananlar

At one side people waking up with hope and love
Dünyanýn tüm hali burda daðýnýk odamda

All the world is here in my untidy room
Çok düþtüm yaralandým ama sarýldým hayata

I fell down a lot and got hurt, but I hanged on the life
Ardýmda büyük büyük kocaman aðýr yükler

Enourmous and heavy freights on my back
Heryerimden çektiler beni beklettiler

They pulled me everywhere and made me wait
Dinlendim su içtim aktý dudaklarýmdan

I rested, drank water, flowing down off my lips
Hergün güneþ doðar yeter ki açýk olsun perdeler

The sun rises everyday, just keep the curtains open
Bir yanýmda durmadan çalýþan saatler

At one side, clocks running non-stop
Bir yanda aðýr aðýr dipten gelen sesler

At one side, voices coming slowly from the depths
Düþündüm buldum sandýðým yüzyýllýk gerçekler

The one hundred year old truths that I thought I found
Hepsiyle giyindim durdum bazen büyük geldiler

I put them all on, sometimes they were too large for me
Bir yanda hiç susmadan konuþan dudaklar

At one side lips talking without stopping
Bir yanda küsüp susmuþ sessiz akýllar

At one side sulky and silence minds
Dibe vurduysak ne olmuþ elbet çýkarýz

What is it if we hit the bottom, sure we will go up
Bir gün var bir gün yokuz kiralýkmýþ hayatlar

One day we exist, one day we dont, the lives for rent
Ardýmda büyük büyük kocaman aðýr yükler

Enourmous, heavy frieghts on my back
Heryerimden çektiler beni beklettiler

They pulled me everywhere and made me wait
Dinlendim su içtim aktý dudaklarýmdan

I rested, drank water, flowing down off my lips
Hergün güneþ doðar yeter ki açýk olsun perdeler

The sun rises everyday, just keep the curtains open.
