yeah strange....
what is wrong with wishing someone a Happy 2009 or even a 2010 in advance?
So, I wish you the best for many more years to come 
Basically... it´s not an English custom canim... 
I do wish you a happy 2011 in advance!

Interesting... so according to English customs you don´t wish happy new year till january 1st, except of course all the time you make that wish, eh?  strange indeed.

Anyway, I am not complaining I am just saying that it seems strange because WE (in the UK!!) don´t say it until after New Years Eve....then it goes on and on.....and on...all through January
It is a bit like tempting fate......in case you don´t make it until January 1st
