If they use nuclear weapons in WW III, you won´t have to worry about a WW IV... we´ll all be gone.

People can´t live in peace because it is not in their nature. We´re a selfish, arrogant and self-destructing species. I think we´re a genetic aberration predestined to die out in result of our own actions

Not all of us Daydreamer, but I must sadly admit, what you write is too true. We know enough to get in trouble. As a species we rarely ever expratolate the effect of our "inventions" to assess the impact they will have in the long run. Unless there is a very big change ASAP, the prognosis for humanity is not great.
I must say you are rather optimistic in being a new mother. Having children is the height of optimism, IMHO.

Right, individual people are more often good than bad, unfortunately as a whole, as species we haven´t done half as good as we´d like to think.
Optimistic? Yeah, there´s a dab of naivety in all of us after all. But I do hope my son´s future will be a nice one
