Pakistan agrees Sharia law in Swat valley..

..The bill will create a separate system of justice for the whole region...

Sharia law has been in force in Malakand since 1994. But appeal cases are heard in the Peshawar high court, which operates under the civil code.

....

The agreement will bind the provincial government to implement Sharia law in the Malakand division, which comprises Swat and its adjoining areas.

Taleban´s laws are not sharia... they just use religion to oppress the population. I hope those savage crooks get what they deserve one day. This is a serious step back.

Yes you are right, but I would not go as far to say they use religion to oppress people, they use their own rules to oppress............ they are the "Taliban Law" going beyond any reason and this is a disaster for Pakistan and Pakistani women and children in particular.  I really do feel sad about this having read at length how cruel and viscious the Taliban are.

That´s terrible when religious freaks known for their brutality, hostility and primitivity get what they want by means of terror. My sympathies to people who´ll be forced to live the Goat-shaggers way
