Turkish cycling tour to bring together cyclers from 23 countries

Cyclers from 23 countries will join a cycling tour in Turkey, the organizers said on Friday.  A total of 160 cyclers from 23 countries will compete in the Presidential Cycling Tour in Turkey. The Turkish Cycling Federation is organizing the event for the 45th time. The tour will begin from the Turkish city of Ýstanbul on April 12, and end in the southern town of Alanya on April 19 at the end of eight challenging laps. The cyclers will pedal some 1,212 kilometers during the tour. The Eurosport International TV channel will broadcast the tour live for two hours every day. This will be the first time the Eurosport will broadcast the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey. "This (broadcast) will contribute to Turkey´s promotion," Emin Müftüoðlu, the chairman of the Cycling Federation, said.

Below is the route of the tour:
April 12, 2009: Ýstanbul-Ýstanbul (Cyclers will then fly to Aegean province of Ýzmir)
April 13, 2009: Ýzmir - Kuþadasý
April 14, 2009: Kuþadasý - Bodrum
April 15, 2009: Bodrum - Marmaris
April 16, 2009: Marmaris - Fethiye
April 17, 2009: Fethiye - Finike
April 18, 2009: Finike - Antalya
April 19, 2009: Antalya - Alanya

Sigh.... it was always a dream to made a cycling tour in Turkey.... but I´m not that sportive anymore.... sigh...
