hello. Im sending a gift to my boyfriends mom. I am just not sure what name to put on the gift. or even what to write on a card to her. I don think she likes me very much because she wants her son to be wih a turkish woman.

what do i write on the card to her? I know here i would say Mrs. (last name) but what is the custom for sending gifts in turkey, or addressing parents? Also an idea on what i could say to her in the card??

thanks in advance for any advice =

Oh, that´s difficult. I know people who call their Turkish mother in law (before being married) aunt + their name. I call my Turkish mother in law mom, although I´m not married yet, but that´s because she wants me to, and perhaps because she likes me. Maybe your partner can tell you what your mother-in-law would prefer? Some people (especially mother-in-laws) are very sensitive and will be insulted if you use Mrs or if you don´t use Mrs.
