Muslim cleric killed in Russia´s Ingushetia

ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - An Islamic cleric was killed in Russia´s North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia when unknown assailants opened fire on his house in the city of Nazran, a police source said on Monday.

The incident occurred on Sunday night in the city center. Gunmen attacked Musa Esmurziyev´s house with grenade launchers and automatic rifles.

Esmurziyev, 38, died on the spot of gunshot wounds. The attackers evaded arrest.
